God of War II, an action-adventure hack-and-slash video game, was developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE). Initially launched for the PlayStation 2, it serves as the second installment in the God of War series, the sixth in chronological order, and a sequel to 2005's God of War. The game is rooted in Greek mythology and unfolds in ancient Greece, revolving around the theme of vengeance. The protagonist, Kratos, is the new God of War, having defeated the former, Ares. However, Kratos is betrayed by Zeus, the King of the Olympian gods, who not only strips him of his godhood but also kills him. Dragged slowly to the Underworld, Kratos is rescued by the Titan Gaia, who guides him to seek out the Sisters of Fate. These entities have the power to enable time travel, allowing Kratos to prevent his betrayal, and ultimately seek revenge on Zeus.
Storyline: Kratos, a brutally violent Greek soldier, tortured by the memories of his past, has taken the throne as the new God of war and is a very angry and vengeful god. While leading a massacre through a city protected by Athena, Kratos is betrayed by his fellow gods and murdered by Zeus who is wielding the legendary blade of Olympus. As the arms of Hades prepare to take him into the underworld the fallen god is saved by the titan Gaia. Gaia gives kratos new life and sends him on a mission to change his fate, a task in which no god or man has ever been successful at. You play as Kraots and fight your way through countless hoards of monsters from Greek Mythology in an attempt to locate the temple of the sisters of fate, find the blade of Olympus which holds your godly power take your revenge on Zeus himself.

What does CIB mean?
Complete In Box. Generally means an item has it's original case and manual. If items are not CIB, you'll see little badges of Loose or No Manual on them.
Do I need to worry about Regions?
For modern consoles (PS3 / 4 / 5, Xbox One / X, Switch / 2) you don't need to panic as they will play games from any region.
For older consoles, you need to ensure your console matches the game. The majority of our games will be PAL, which is the NZ standard. Look-out for rare titles that are NTSC (US / Canada) or NTSC-J (Japan / Asia) releases.
